I am extremely happy that the Sabha is celebrating its Golden Jubilee function this year. I compliment the present sabha members for carrying forward the mission of the sabha, which was initiated under the able leadership of Ganakala Bhooshana Vid. Anoor S Ramakrishna. I take this opportunity to remember many sabha members like Dr. G.H Ramachandra Murthy, Vidwan. H.N Krishna, Vidwan D.N Gurudutt and many more renowned musicians who have rendered yeoman services for the upliftment of the sabha. I am also happy to state that I was also part of the committee for many years. With limited resources and funds, the sabha has done a commendable job. The present committee under the leadership of Vidwan A.V Anand and ably supported by Vid. Anoor Dattathreya Sharma and Vid. Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma is doing a wonderful job. I wish this sabha my best wishes and many more years of service to the world of Carnatic music.
SKSS has been organizing concerts of various veteran musicians and youngsters since it's inception. Every time the concert sees a good number of audience which includes learned musicians, sangeetha rasikas and students. It is guaranteed and also has been my personal experience that everyone will go home with a happy mood and contented by the end of each concert. On this occasion of Golden jubilee celebrations, I wish that this esteemed sabha, which is run by musicians for musicians, complete it's hundred years of service to this field too.
As I have witnessed, Sri Krishna Sangeetha Sabha has been organizing quality programmes from a few decades. I was a regular audience for all the programmes along with my husband Sri. Bangalore K Venkatram. The Sabha, instead of organizing only concerts, has also organized some thematic musical features. The significant fact is that the Sabha has given opportunities to all artists (be it vocal or instrumental) residing in or belonging to Karnataka. Due to the untiring efforts of my guru Sri. Anoor Ramakrishna and like-minded people like Dr. Ramachandra Murthy the Sabha has got a great fame and still continues to get. I feel very proud that it has been bringing out many artists who have got lesser opportunities into forefront and encouraging their talents. I am very happy to hear that Sri Krishna Sangeetha Sabha is celebrating its 50 years of glory and I wish the programme all the success.
